I wish I could live in a lighthouse! And this is possible with a new project approved in the Kaliningrad region. The Architectural and Urban Planning Council of the region has approved the construction of a hotel and tourism cluster near the port in Pionerskoye.
On a plot of almost 25,000 sq. m. A new community center will be created with a promenade, terraces, pedestrian and shopping streets, hotels and other facilities. The project provides for a lighthouse with a 250-room hotel, which will become the high-rise dominant of the city.
The concept includes several functional zones and the agglomeration of Pionersky with neighboring cities, including the promenade from Svetlogorsk to the port.
Currently, the port has an international marine terminal with berth N1, the construction of which began in 2018 and will be completed this year. It will be able to accommodate up to 225,000 cruise and 80,000 ferry passengers annually.
