The idea of how to spend Valentine’s Day: visit the Cryptography Museum. On February 14 and 15, 2025, he offers a special program “Love and ciphers”, where you can learn how love inspired cryptographers and how to decipher the languages of love.
Friday, February 14:
- 17:00. Excursion “Cosmos — love for life” (12+).
Learn about the influence of astronomy on chronology and the role of the Moon in history.
Duration: 40-60 minutes.
- 17:00. Excursion “About love, ciphers and Shakespeare” (12+).
Explore how cryptography has protected love messages for centuries and what Shakespeare’s sonnets hide.
Duration: 90 minutes.
- 18:00. Master class “Morse code to myself” (8+).
Meet Samuel Morse, learn how to encode messages and create a bracelet with Morse code.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Saturday, February 15th:
- 12:00. Public talk “How to find a common language”.
Laboratory “To hear and be heard” (12+).
Registration is required.
A public talk dedicated to the diversity of communication is timed to coincide with the launch of an inclusive laboratory. Participants with different sensory disabilities — deafblind, blind, and deaf speakers — will discuss how to understand each other. Guests will be able to participate in game tasks using body language, dactylic alphabet, sign language and other forms of communication.
- 17:00. Bookmaking “Love of non-fiction” (18+).
Registration is required.
An interactive meeting dedicated to the International Bookmaking Day (February 14) will be an opportunity to meet like-minded people and interesting books.
