Airbus plans to introduce such seats in airplanes, which previously caused controversy on the Internet. Aviation startup Chaise Longue, which developed this concept, announced negotiations with the company.
The two-level seats will allow passengers to choose between the upper and lower rows. Although the lower level may look less attractive, it will provide more legroom. The upper level also offers improved conditions compared to the standard economy class, according to the authors of the project.
The project aims to optimize cabin space for passengers and airlines. At the same time, standard seats will not be completely excluded: two-level seats will be placed in the center, while traditional rows will remain on the sides.
