You no longer need to confirm your hotel reservation!
The Consulate General of Japan in St. Petersburg canceled the requirement to book a hotel to obtain a visa — the innovation entered into force on February 17, 2025. Now it is enough for Russian tourists to indicate their places of residence without having to confirm their reservation.
To obtain a tourist visa, you must provide:
- visa application form;
- passport;
- copy of the internal passport;
- payment guarantee document;
- flight booking;
- program of stay.
Foreigners who have been staying in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region for a long time can also apply for a visa.
