China’s largest Legoland Shanghai theme park opens

В Китае откроется крупнейший тематический парк Legoland Shanghai

It is expected that from 3 to 5 million people a year will visit the theme park — and not only fans of the popular designer.

Test work will begin in June, and the official opening is scheduled for July 2025. According to experts, it will be the world’s largest Legoland with an area of 318,000 square meters.

The park is located 57 km from Shanghai, in the city of Fengjing, next to the Jinshan-North high-speed railway station. It takes only 18 minutes to drive from the Shanghai Hongqiao Hub.

Legoland Shanghai will offer eight themed areas, more than 75 interactive attractions and various show programs. Visitors will be able to see hundreds of Lego models created from more than 85 million parts.

Key attractions include Dragon Coaster, Driving School and City Airport, as well as Lego Monkie Kid, based on a Chinese fairy tale. The park also has the world’s largest Lego DADA figurine weighing 136 tons and 26 meters high.

Guests can take a boat ride and learn about life in the traditional water towns of the Jiangnan region. A theme hotel will open next to the park.

One—day tickets will cost from 319 to 599 yuan (from 3,500 to 6,700 rubles) for adults, from 255 to 479 yuan (from 2,800 to 5,300 rubles) for children.
