Just don’t panic: they won’t be able to put a child in the back of an airplane if you’re flying in the nose. Now, if there are more children with one adult than there are seats in a row, the airline must place them in the same row across the aisle or on the next one. At the same time, the service class remains.
Parents can choose who the child will sit with if there are several accompanying persons.
If you purchase a ticket less than a day before departure and if there are no empty seats nearby, an adult and a child can be seated.
Before that, the Ministry of Transport required children to be placed only next to their parents. The new rules will be a compromise between passengers’ wishes and airline logistics.
