It is proposed to set the maximum liability of airlines at ten minimum wages (MW).
Currently, airlines do not control how passengers place their carry-on luggage above the seats, and only limit the size of the bags. This leads to problems: some passengers take up more space than necessary, which increases the risk of damage to the luggage and makes it difficult to control.
The document states that if airlines do not provide space for carry-on luggage, they need to improve the protection of customers’ property. Currently, the maximum compensation is 11,000 rubles, which is outdated and does not correspond to real prices.
