A flying taxi? It will appear in Abu Dhabi.

Летающее такси? Оно появится в Абу-Даби

Wow, we almost ended up in the movie “The Fifth Element”! Abu Dhabi will become the first city in the UAE to launch flying taxis.

Test flights will begin in the summer of 2025, and the tests will assess the effects of high temperatures on electric aircraft and passengers.

The Midnight flying taxi, capable of speeds up to 240 km/h and carrying up to four passengers, will significantly reduce travel time: the trip from the international airport to the Emirates Palace Hotel will take only five to eight minutes instead of 45.

At the first stage, Archer Aviation plans to launch five taxis on high-traffic routes, including the Corniche and Saadiyat Island. In the future, new routes will be added to the fast-growing areas of the city.

The cost of a trip within Abu Dhabi will be 300-350 dirhams (7,000—8,000 rubles), and flights between the emirates – from 800 to 1,500 dirhams. More than 70 helipads have already been built in the capital, and Archer intends to increase their number by turning the roofs of buildings into vertical ports.

We also told you which places in Abu Dhabi will leave an indelible impression. It’s time to take photos for social media!
