Pack your bags, take your camera, let’s go to France! The country became the most visited in 2024.
Last year, more than 100 million tourists visited the country, which is associated with the Olympic Games, the opening of Notre Dame Cathedral and the anniversary of the Normandy landings.
The largest number of guests arrived from Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland and the USA, while the number of tourists increased by 10% in winter. However, the Chinese and Japanese began to spend significantly less (by 60% and 30%, respectively, compared to 2019).
The revenue from international tourism amounted to 71 billion euros. The head of the relevant ministry, Nathalie Delattre, said it was necessary to increase the average spending of tourists due to competition with Spain, where revenues reached 126 billion euros from 94 million visitors.
You can also go to France for a music festival. For example, in the near future (namely in the spring and summer of 2025) Dua Lipa, Billy Irish, Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots will hold their concerts – a reason to get vivid emotions!
