Is it possible to see two sunrises at once in one flight? Yes! To do this, you need to become a passenger on the longest flight in the world from Qantas Airlines, which will connect Sydney with London and New York.
The flight duration will be from 19 to 22 hours, which is less than on current routes with transfers.
The project, known as Project Sunrise, was announced in 2017, but postponed due to the pandemic. According to plans, the launch of the flight will increase Qantas’ annual revenue by more than 521 million Australian dollars. The company has ordered 12 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, investing 1.2 billion pounds.
There will be six first class suites on board with increased space, beds and touch screens. There are also 52 business suites, 40 premium economy seats and 140 economy class seats with modern amenities. Passengers will be able to use the “Wellness Area” to relax and recharge by ordering drinks and following the instructions on the monitors.
In the meantime, 2026 is still a long way off, we offer other ideas where you can go on a trip.
