Great news for remoters — visas for digital nomads have finally appeared in Italy. So if you want to change the location and admire the sunny country, it’s time to take advantage of the opportunity.
The program has been developed since 2022, and now it is possible to submit documents. This must be done through the country’s embassies.
Here is the required list:
- passport;
- confirmation of remote work;
- certificate of criminal record and income (minimum 2,300€ per month);
- medical insurance;
- rental agreement in Italy.
In addition, it is necessary to consult with a tax expert before traveling. With a visa, you can quickly get a residence permit — it is issued for a year, and you must apply within a week upon arrival in Italy.
