The rating was compiled by the London Institute for Quality of Life (Institute for Quality of Life).
According to experts, the feeling of happiness depends on many factors, for example, the total population, the availability of resources, the nature of the problems faced by citizens due to natural conditions, the geopolitical situation, and others.
Therefore, the researchers divided the cities into groups where education, economy, mobility, environmental protection, inclusion, access to green areas and innovation are evident in the implemented solutions that are felt by residents and have a direct impact on the quality of life.
Therefore, there are three groups in the rating: Golden Happiest cities, Silver cities, Bronze cities.
This is how the top five of the first group looks like:
- Aarhus in Denmark;
- Zurich in Switzerland;
- Berlin in Germany;
- Gothenburg in Sweden;
- Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The second group included:
- Boston in the USA;
- Odense in Denmark;
- Oslo in Norway;
- Melbourne in Australia;
- Monaco.
The third rating was opened:
- Linz in Austria;
- Asan in South Korea;
- Dusseldorf in Germany;
- Uppsala in Sweden;
- Maastricht in the Netherlands.
