In Germany, panel houses from the time of socialism were recognized as an architectural monument. There are also many such attractions in Russia — we are waiting for their turn to come.
WBS 70 panel houses (Wohnungsbauserie 70) were developed back in 1970, and construction began in 1973. For example, by 1990, entire panel neighborhoods had appeared on the outskirts of Berlin and Jena. But they were demolished, rebuilt and modernized after the unification of Germany.
There are few such houses left now, but their architectural value is now recognized.
We have compiled a list of unusual hotels in Russia. We think that some of them could also become architectural monuments one day.
