Beach shoes
We highly recommend purchasing special aqua shoes for a seaside holiday in Batumi. The beaches here are mostly pebbly, the stones are large, so it can be unpleasant to go into the water with bare feet. It is inexpensive and sold everywhere.
Gonio
Who will like it: those who want to get a classic seaside vacation.
Where to go and what to do: it is definitely worth visiting the ruins of the ancient Roman fortress. It is said that the grave of one of the twelve apostles, Matthew, is located here.

This is the last village before the Georgian-Turkish border. The beach here is tiny, but it is located beyond the Chorokhi River. This means that the water is very clean and fresh. Don’t forget to bring your aquashoes — the pebbles on the beach are quite large.
Where to go and what to do: the most popular activity in Sarpi is jumping into the water from the cliff of the local cliffs. From the village, you can even rush to Turkey for delicious lahmajun and other hedonism (just grab your passport).

Well, now we are going in the other direction from Batumi — straight to Makhinjauri beach. It is a quiet, peaceful and even modest place with affordable housing and no special entertainment. It is good to stay here if you are traveling by car and can go to a large supermarket or closer to civilization at any time.

Cape Verde

The beach on the Green Cape is located very close to Makhinjauri. The atmosphere here is relaxed, and places can be found both wild and equipped. There are several small beaches in this area, with bamboo and banana groves nearby. The water here is clean, the pebbles are shallower than in other villages, access to the water is convenient, the number of people is comfortable and not stressful. Local newlyweds often meet here — but even without a wedding occasion, everything really has a photo for memory.

Who will like it: fans of the good old Black Sea classics.
There are only a couple of streets in Kobuleti, but there are shops, souvenir shops, restaurants and hotels for every taste. The coastline is about 12 km long and is divided into a central and a wild part. In the center you will find all the benefits of resort life. In the wild, you can organize camping and enjoy a vacation in the style of the Soviet movie “Three plus Two”.
Where to go and what to do: see the mosaic in central park, take a leisurely stroll along the embankment and traditionally burn on the beach on the first day of rest, then smear sour cream and lament that this will not happen again.

Ureki
Who will like it: fans of sandy beaches.
But, as you might guess, there are a lot of people here and not only because of the sand. There is a good infrastructure on the wide and spacious coastline: sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, children’s entertainment and cafes. The entrance to the sea is smooth, so you can swim with the kids without any problems. The water is clear and a couple of degrees warmer than on the pebble beaches. Be careful in the heat: the sand heats up to a state where you can fry scrambled eggs on it.
Where to go and what to do:Relax in one of the many sanatoriums located near the beach, have a picnic with sunset views, and explore other sandy beaches: Kaprovani and Shekvetili near the stunning Shekvetili Arboretum Park.
