The UN World Tourism Organization has published a report from which it became known who is the world’s biggest … spender! China was in the first place in terms of spending on tourism.
The ten most wasteful countries:
- China;
- USA;
- Germany;
- United Kingdom;
- France;
- Canada;
- Italy;
- India;
- Russia;
- South Korea.
Russia has risen from 11th to ninth place compared to the previous result in the ranking. But in 2019, Russians ranked sixth in the world.
The United States, Spain, Great Britain, France and Italy earned the most from tourism in 2023. France has also become the most visited destination in the world (100 million tourists).
