Among them is a unique object in the UAE desert. The awards were awarded based on the results of a vote by professionals and ski enthusiasts, who also chose the best hotels and chalets.
The first place was taken by the French resort of Val Thorens, located at an altitude of 2,300 m. It is recognized as the highest mountain in Europe and has set the world standard for ski lift infrastructure and accommodation.
Switzerland has won two awards: W Verbier became the “Best ski Hotel in the world”, and Chalet Zermatt Peak in Zermatt — the “Best ski Chalet”. Laax was recognized as the “Best resort for freestyle skiing.”
In the UAE, Ski Dubai was awarded the title of “The World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort,” and Japan’s MUWA Niseko was awarded the “Best New Ski Hotel in the World.”
