The Langendorf Castle Hotel was recreated on the site of a fortress that belonged to the ancient Prussian Perbandt family for seven centuries. This family was called the “first Vikings”. Staying in such locations is incredibly interesting, because paintings from centuries ago come to life in the imagination.: how the real ancient Scandinavians lived here, battles took place and hearts broke from medieval passions.
The rooms are located in two old buildings in the central part of the estate: in the main building (“Wing”) — 16 rooms and in the “Guest House” — four. The facades have retained their historical appearance, including half-timbered elements (wooden frame filled with stone). The floor is made of natural oak, the Gothic—style furniture is made of ash.
The hotel has a large park area on the picturesque banks of the Pregolya River. It is worth exploring the “Fortress Yard” field for team games and the “Castle Hill” with the remains of the Prussian fortress. The history of the estate goes back to 1883: it was then that the merchant and philanthropist Vasily Alekseevich Khludov acquired a plot from the mouth of the Sochi River to the Psakh River (present-day Mamayka), and a few years later he laid out the Riviera Park and built his estate. The estate over the yearsThe building was transferred to the treasury, used as a resort management and polyclinic, then it was completely dismantled and rebuilt in 2012. The facade was executed in the style of Russian Art Nouveau, and the interiors were decorated in exquisite Baroque. In 2021, the boutique hotel opened its doors and began a new history.
In Khludov’s Estate, all the bright interior items were created by Russian and Italian craftsmen in a single copy. The decoration is paintings by Russian artists.
