You can’t just go on a trip and not pet the local seals — especially if, thanks to tourists, they have become an integral part of popular locations. The travel publication ATOR offered to evaluate six places where you can take wonderful photos.
Thailand
Fluffy inhabitants can be found not only on popular beaches, but also in shops (right at the checkout!), and even in temples. To call them for a photo, use the Thai “meow-meow-meow”.
Egypt
Cats in Ancient Egypt are one of the most revered animals, so it is not surprising that the tradition of adoring these animals has not disappeared over time. Don’t be surprised if a cat suddenly wants to lie on your cot somewhere in Sharm el-Sheikh, or better yet, have time to capture the moment on camera.
Jordan
Be careful with cats here — they are great at standing up for themselves if they don’t like something. But, for example, you can not only play with the inhabitant of Mount Nebo, but also chat — the kitty is very talkative and almost always loyal to guests at the temple of Moses. If you plan to visit Petra, know that the fluffy inhabitants here are silent, but incredibly graceful.
Serbia
Serbian cats match the locals — they like to eat delicious food and even treat guests to traditional dishes. For example, a Serbian family lives in the city of Užice, which receives tourists and treats them to a homemade lunch, and the cats make sure that the guests are cozy and very tasty (and, of course, they really count on a piece of something delicious in exchange for a gorgeous photo).
China
Here you need to be able to understand cat hints — for example, when to treat the striped and spotted inhabitants of Fenghuang city. You will recognize this look out of a thousand, especially if you are the first to call a cat to you with the usual “mi-mi-mi”.
Turkey
In this country, cats are not called, they come by themselves: they will be nearby at the bazaar, at the hotel, and at the museum — and it does not matter where your journey begins or ends: in Istanbul, Cappadocia or Antalya. In half of the vacation photos, some cat will accidentally or intentionally get into the frame, but almost certainly.
If you like fuzzies, then Istanbul is definitely a place worth visiting. Well, what else to do in Turkey, read in our article.
