Mount Everest with GPS only: Nepalese authorities introduce new rules

На Эверест только с GPS: власти Непала вводят новые правила

GPS trackers will help you not get lost among the highest peaks of the planet. There is nowhere on Everest without them now: everyone who plans to climb to the highest point of the Earth should take trackers with them. This rule was introduced by the Nepalese authorities.

The rental price is $10-15. GPS trackers will be issued before the hike, they can be sewn into clothes. The devices can transmit a signal even under a 20-meter layer of snow, and still do not require charging.

In this way, the Nepalese authorities want to provide climbers with maximum safety.
