Top ten:
- Vatican Museums (Rome);
- British Museum (London);
- Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York);
- Tate Modern (London);
- Shanghai Museum;
- National Gallery of Art (Washington);
- National Museum of Korea (Seoul);
- Musee d’orsay (Paris);
- National Museum of Anthropology (Mexico City).
Russian museums were also included in the list. They continue to attract a significant number of visitors. The State Tretyakov Gallery, for example, came in 22nd place with 2.52 million visitors.
It is interesting to note that the Hermitage and the Russian Museum have bypassed such famous world institutions as the Prado Museum and the Pompidou Center.
Four more museums have entered the global top 100.:

- Museums of the Moscow Kremlin;
- Cultural Center “GES-2”.
