According to Russian Railways, trips on the Sochi – Sukhum route started on February 27, 2025.
This route was used in test mode, but now it has been decided to launch it permanently. The final stop on the way back is Sochi Airport.
A high-speed train is already running between Sochi and Gagra via Adler and the airport, now the route has been extended by 80 km to Sukhum.
Departure from Sochi is scheduled for 8:50, and in the opposite direction — at 15:42. The journey time to Abkhazia is 6.5 hours.
