10 years after its closure, the famous hiking trail with the romantic name “The Way of Love” will be reopened in Italy. Are you ready to visit her?
The opening after a large-scale reconstruction is scheduled for July 27, 2024. Monitoring systems have been installed on the trail that warn of landslides. The place itself is located between Riomaggiore and Manarola.
The route is one kilometer long, and it passes through five villages belonging to the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the walk, everyone will be able to admire the seascapes.
The trail got its name because of a legend that says that it used to serve as a meeting place for lovers from two different cities.
To visit, you will need a ticket — you can buy it at the ticket offices of the park or online (the site is still being updated). No more than 400 visitors are allowed on the route per hour.
