From March 31, 2024, Romania will begin issuing Schengen visas to Russians at the Embassy of the Republic in Moscow. The application can be submitted not only in the capital, but also in St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don.

Visas issued after March 31 will allow the traveler to enter the Schengen area for up to 90 days during any 180-day period. Those tourists who received visas before March 31 will be able to use them during the entire validity period to enter Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus.

It also became known that from April 1, 2024, Bulgaria plans to issue Schengen visas to Russians. To do this, travelers need to contact the consular service of the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow or the Consulate General in St. Petersburg.
